I love old school sci-fi and creature flicks, and I'm glad I've finally caught up with this classic.
Considering the low budget origin, the creature is actually quite detailed, (though it's still obvious that it is a suit.) and by the time the film ends, the creature's entrance music will be forever stuck in your head. I'm pretty skeptical about the upcoming remake, unless they make radical changes to the creature ,(or going the satire route) there's no way the plot can be updated to modern time and still be frightening. Really, people should leave these classics alone, they are only worthy because they are the products of a certain era.
From today's standard, Richard Carlson's role would probably be played by someone in his early 30s, but really, a man in his mid 40s can still be alluring.
There are 2 more sequels to this series, considering the subject matter, there should be more shirtless men to dig up!
