Oliver Reed in Burnt Offerings (1976)
This is one gem of a horror film. While the overall narrative is nothing new (think The Shining), it is effectively shot, strong acting (Bette Davis!) and a final moment that is so chilling and horrific, the image still lingers in my mind. (And it has been more than a month since I've seen this.)
Unfortunately the DVD from Paramount does not have the most adequate transfer; the print is dirty and many scenes are muted and blurry. Or else I could have made more caps.
But nothing could distract from Oliver Reed, who is completely beefy here, awesome!
