Alain Delon in The Swimming Pool (1969)
Oh my, where do I start with this film!? This is one serious piece of eye candy.
The young Alain Delon is gorgeous here: the skin is smooth, the body build fit, and the blue eyes fierce. The first half of the film is sequence after sequence of Alain without his shirt, I was so jaw dropped and finally gave up capping and just enjoy the view.
The film itself is a low-key drama. The sometimes stagy narrative (features mainly four characters at an European villa.) has an interesting premise, however it suffers from a sluggish pacing and a rather bland and anticlimactic conclusion.
But no matter, just give me Alain Delon and I can sit through anything! His film Purple Noon is already next on my queue. (Lastly, I do have to add, the actress Romy Schneider is equally beautiful here, when she appears in a white swimsuit... wow!)
