Ian Somerhalder in Lost City Raiders (2008)

Ian Somerhalder in Lost City Raiders (2008)

Oh, lame, lame, lame! The movie was of typical TV movie of the week quality, nothing offensive, but not that great either. The production value is actually not too shabby; but the acting is horrid! No one is into the role, so basically we are watching bunch of well known actors (even James Brolin!) sleeping walking through their job.

It is made worse by the ample missed opportunity for Ian to show his chest, like seriously! If your only wardrobe pieces is either a zipped up vest, or a scuba diving suit, how can you not even manage to squeeze one scene showing some skin?

The closest thing I got is a back shot from the DVD's Making Of feature; nope, no chance of seeing his chest there either.

Did the producers underpaid him or something?

  1. Maybe he's trying to be taken seriously as an actor... Crikeys, what was I thinking? *lol*

All those made for SciFi channel movies are like that. They get super hot guys (Dean Cain, Casper Van Dien, Justin Hartley, David Chokachi, etc), and then fail to completely objectify them. What a waste.

  2. Def a waste! But, SyFy's average viewer is a teen or twenty-something guy. Alas, most of them are not interested in Cain, et al.'s abs.
