An opportunity lost on so many level...
First, the film itself: the detailed European production design, beautifully saturated cinematography and a soothing score, all devoted to a love story so coldly told and acted it is devoid of any chemistry or emotion. What a waste of talents all around; it has all the ingredients of something wonderfully worth watching.
And then there is Keanu Reeves being glued to clothing throughout; there are tons of moments where he could reasonably lose his shirt, but other than a few seconds in the beginning, the viewer does no have the pleasure.
But I have to add this, he sure look good in a wife beater though...
